Learning English with HB

Hi guys!  

We start a new week in The Other View!

We are a few days to begin the World Cup in Brazil! And our national team play de first match this Friday against Australia. Everybody it's very exciting for the match and many chileans have traveled to Brazil. But when you go to other country it’s very important the language that you speak.  English it’s the most common language to speak with anybody and it’s very important to communicate in a World Cup.

In my experience learn English has been very interesting. I got have inter mediate level in the university and every day I try study (Obviously, I can´t always. But I try). At moment I’m studying in the fourth level in the university. It’s the last level, so I’m very exciting for finish and have a good knowledge of the language. For example, every monday we write in our blogs about experience, opinion, and thinking about many themes. Of course, it’s everything in english. This is a good tool for write a perfect english.

I think, I need to be improved the pronunciation also remind the basic grammatical and strengthen that I know. Just I have organized me and study and I will get.

At the moment I use the english for few thing. The most habitual use is for read the newspaper: The guardian, The New York Times and The telegraph. Also I read the sport news in english pages, that, almost always are about tennis. But, I speak very little withy other persons, just in the english class on Thursdays. These is the one thing I try to improved, I need speak more in english.

For this, the key for learn a good english and have a good knowledge the language it’s the practice. Just with this tool I will can get a perfect english and I will can communicate with anybody of the world.

One Year. Six months

Hi guys!

We start a new week in The Other View!

Had pass six months of this year, and that mean that we pass a excelent moments or bad moments, with our friends, family or partner in university. Anyway, bad or good moments have everybody.

In this oportinity, I remind my experience in this year as a form to demostrate that always we need make a balace of those things we did and did not.

Well, this year have been very dificult for me in all the thems because it’s a fourth year in the university in journalism career. It’s the most complicate year in all the carrer becouse the course ara dificult and you haven’t time for nothing. But, I had a good experience, in my opinion I tried to have balance in all the thing.

Also, I practice sport: tennis. This sport isn’t just a hobby for me becouse I’m a coach of fifteen children students of the Instituto Nacional, one of the most important college of Santiago and Chile. I started my second year with this job and we have planed travel to tennis Championhip in Mendoza, Argentina. After this we have continue with the training for travel to Punta Del Este, Uruguay representing to Chile in other tournament. ¿Do you know Mendoza or Punta del Este? Well, I don’t, therefore it’s a very important oportunity for me.

In my free time, above all, in holidays I was in National Park Torres del Paine for two week. I was with other three partners of university. To be honest, the travel not I was hope, because one of my friends had a knee injury, and he felt a lot of pain. Anyway, was a amazing travel for the south of Chile with beautiful landscape and very funny people.

Finally, I hope this year become one of the best year in my life becouse  I continue with the job as coach tennis, I going to try to look a good internship in some media (I would like TV or radio). Also, I hope have a good performance in all the tournament inside university.

Well friend, I hope that all this become to reality and now: ¿What about you?

Comics & Cartoons

Hi guys!

We start a new week on my blog: the Other View!

I hope you have a nice week in the company of my blog. This week we have a very interesting topic: the comics or cartoon of our childhood.

When I was a child, I saw a lot of cartoons. Comics not much (to be honest I don´t follow the comics because never was attractive for me). But, in my experience, the cartoons are the best network that we have in the childhood. We tried being the principal characters of our favorite cartoon or comic. We stayed too much hour in front of TV seeing and never it boring us.  

My favorite cartoon is the “Detective Conan” (how it was called in Latin America), and the argument was a teenager (Bobby Jackson, the best detective in the west zone) who is transformed into a child after two people attack. In this moment, he started a resolve a lot of cases under name the other detective “Carlos Guzman” (who is the father of his girlfriend, Claudia). And with the company of four children more, he has many adventures.

This it’s one of my favorite cartoons because always, when I come back to the school and turn on TV, is the first appear on the screen and, obviously, the argument and the characters I liked so much. Also, I tried resolving all the cases, but I never could discern the guilty…

The Ecological Friendly Practice.

We start a new week on my blog “The Other View”!

This week, we have a very interesting topic that has a lot of importance for the world: Ecological friendly practice.

Well, I’m from Temuco. This place is in the south of Chile, at moment it’s the most polluted city Chile and one of the most polluted Latin America. For this, the ecological practices are very important for me as citizen. At now, in Santiago another much polluted city, I learned more about this practice. Simple practice like no littering on the street is a good way to help to keep a clean city.

But in Temuco, I don´t know places or friendly group where practice this. Really, I’m so worry for my city, because it’s a beautiful city with many places to visits, very touristic and in this moment stay in the newspaper for this is very disappointed.

Anyway, in these two cities I’m walk. Almost never I take the car or bus (obviously, if the distance is very long, I do). This is the way in that I help in the city: not using means of transport that generates pollution.

Truth, I support all the ambient campaign, but I’m not a great following of this group, because I’m a few indifferent in front of this groups. In front of this campaign I say “Yes, it’s very important for the world, for the people and future…” but in the practice, I’m indifferent, I have to recognize.  

I would like cooperate more. In general all the people care of her and do not have time to worry about others. In this context I prefer cooperate by using the bicycle, or walking, for me is the best form to help to this group.

The Brazilian Situation

We started a new week in “The other view”. I hope you are very well and have a nice week.

Today, this article will talk about: South America! At moment a lot of things had happen in this place of the world. Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Brazil and Argentina have been in the newspaper for different situations.

Especially we going to talk about the kidnapping in Rio de Janeiro, a place where in few weeks will play de World Cup Brazil 2014.

This time, a young woman (18 year old) and the bus driver who were threaten by a stranger in the Brazil avenue in north of “Rio”. The others managed to escape the bus before the offender threatened. The Brazilian police make a good job when in a rain afternoon, captured to the kidnapper, who was identified like a man of 35 years old and addict to the crack.

This news, remind to the Rio de Janeiro citizens when, 14 year ago, happened a similar situation. In this opportunity, a young woman was murdered by the Brazilian police after of an individual hijack a bus in the same street.

In a city that in few weeks else receive the World Cup It’s very alarming for tourist, soccer players and general public. This situation adds to other problems in the organization of the World Cup. We remember the protests for the expensive in the stadium building in all the cities headquarters in Brazil. The people aren’t happy with this situation and demonstrate worry, thinking about the favela, in the suburbs of the city where there is days where the people don’t have to eat, the house building its bad and the money in not enough to live.

Well guys, I hope this situation ends soon the Brazil 2014 World Cup just bring us good news for lovers of football and sport in general; and tarnished by unpleasant situations.

Oscar Pistorius's case

The title news is: Oscar Pistorius's trial resumes as defence tries to rebuild credibility

The Pistorius’ case has been arround the world. But, in this oportunity and one year later the Pistorius’ defence tries to rebuild credibility. At time the Pistoruis’s defence argument that the athlete (gold medal winner in Olympic Games in London 2012) murder accidentally to his wife; the southafrican model, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine's Day last year.

In the court, The Pistorius’defence asking to neighbour and Pistorius’s friend, “Stander”, over the sucess this nigth. He was the first person in apeare in the crime scene this nigth after a phone call from Oscar Pistorius.  

Stander said that Pistorius called him because had shot his wife. Stander was to Pistorius’s house and found the athlete acarring his wife on the spair. Also, Stander describe the crime scene with a Pistorius crying, screaming, praying and with a pain heart.  Acording Stander, the athlete was desesperate and boken and praying to God for keep her alive.

In the other side, the state presecuto Garrie Nel, acusate to the athlete of a lier. The defence argument in the court for the inocence of Pistorius.

The best party ever

We start a new weekend in The Other View!!

Everybody have gone to a party: with friends, familiy, to disco, to pub, to restaurant, etc. But always, all the people have a best party ever. That party when you drink until can not keep stand up, or that party when you knows to girlfriend, or when you don´t remenber nothing to next day in the morning. Also, the worst hangover!  Are a lot of situation in that happen in a party: What is you most important or memorable party?

I love the partys. I prefer the partys in discotheque always, but, now I like the partys in my university in the Campus Juan Gomez Millas. In this place, I did have the best party. Everybody call it, “Carrete Mechón”.  In those party all the new generation of the university celebrate the first year in his carreer.

I remenber very well, was a Friday. I arrived late to the party because a I have a training and I didn’t have ate nothig before.  I drinked a lot of “piscolas” (tipical chilean drink). When I was drink the fourth  piscola, I feel that all it was in movement. I was dizzy. But, doesn’t mind in that moment.  I followed dancing and drinking, until that I can´t remenber nothing more.  After, wake up beside the tree, with two friends that staying care for me.

I don´t remenber the hour, the people, I just only want a bed to sleep, nothing else. Next day, I did have work like coach of tennis. I wake up drunk!!! The alcohol effect insn´t happen!! I don´t can believe that. But I played tennis with my litle tennis players and all ending good.

Well, in this moment I remenbar that and it´s very funny. But the hangover the next day was very disagreeable.

Cinema Paradiso. Great movie

We talked about job and the cities we would like to go. This week, the topic it’s completely different: the movies!

In my opinion, the movies are the best expression of art.  There is classic’s cinema like “The Godfather”, “The Schindler’s list”, Cinema Paradiso, Pulp fiction… It’s a very long list.

Of this list y very difficult say de movie that had the biggest impact on me, but , I choice the Italian movie “Cinema Paradiso”, because has been the only one movie I cryed with the final.  I could not believe how this movie ends, it’s very sad.

Well, the technic list of this movie is the following:

Casting: Phillipe Noiret (Alfredo) Salvatore Cascio (Salvatore Vita) Antonella Attilli (María)

This movie relates the story about Salvatore Cascio, who arrived for second time to Giancaldo, born city, in Sicilia, Italia. In this moment he learns the Alfredo is death. He is your best friend when he was young in the town. They were working in cinema paradise, a little cinema in Giancaldo. In this place, the story in narrated in his childhood, youth and adultness. The protagonist, relate his first relationship, problems, relation with family, of course, with Alfredo.

This movie, in your final is the most emotional and emotive that I can find in the cinema. Cinema paradise is not a action movie or scary movie, but the utilization of the emotive is the most important thing, also, how relate the relation between persons and with the places.

Italy

Hi guys!

Welcome to a new week in my blog “the Other View”.

This time we talk about of the country I would like to know. What’s your favorite country?

I prefer Italy, this is my favorite country, and I would like to go when I finish the university. Why I prefer Italy? In my opinion, it’s the best place to spend a beautiful holidays. It´s the architecture, it´s history, and it´s culture one of the most important in Europe and the world? Could be. This is my principal motivation.

I know could be very expensive this travel, but it’s the experience the most important motivation to do. The roman culture, the Pizza’s Tower, the Roman Coliseum, and the “Calcio Italianno” are the things that like to me. Also, the food it’s delicious being one of the most important producers of pasta in the world.

Well, we talk about Italy’s things, but: what do we do in this country? In my opinion, Italy is a very especial country: first, if you’re a football lover like me, this panorama in the perfect for you. In all the Italian cities there are soccer teams that can you visit in his stadium: Rome, Juventus, Milan, internazionale de Milan are the best teams in this country. In the other side, I prefer the restaurant for the food and Italian quality. For me must be the most renowned in the world.

I would like go to Italy in holidays  but, I would like live in Italy and know it's people, it´s food, it´s landscape and it´s culture.

The ideal job. No.1

Hi, my name is Michael Seguel and today I talk you about of my laboral future. I’m studing

journalism and this year I complete de fouth grade in this career. This level it’s very important for

me because I’ve take a decision over my laboral chance. At this time, I prefer work in a traditional

media, that’s meaning Television or radio. This is my dream, become the best sport journalism in

television or radio. This it’s my ideal job.

I think that my qualities are the best tool for get a good job after the internship. I wait stay in this

job to demonstrate my skills in communication and my knowlegde in sports. Also, I think I would be

good in this job because I like communicate with persons and I like the interviews, investigation and

Is not difficult for me talk in front of a microphone. I’ve the personality for stay in front of a camara

and talk with the public persons.

To be honest, It’s very difficult work in television or radio actuality. The reasons are a lot of. First,

there are a many journalism in the market. Many, until today, don’t get job. In my opinion, the

chance to get a good job is in how we demonstrate our skill or qualities in the perfect moment. I’ve

a difficult work to get work, but the hope It’s never over. The talent and the work to become a good

journalism are the most important.
